The Kraissmann 602 DM 180/300 benchtop lathe is capable of cutting both metric and inch right-hand threads. The machine comes with a three-jaw chuck, and a separate set of reverse jaws is included. A special tool chest contains a set of change gears made entirely of metal, as well as the complete necessary set of maintenance tools for the machine.
The machine's engine power is 600W; the engine itself is a brushed motor. The spindle rotation speed is smoothly adjustable in two ranges from 50 to 2500 rpm. Thanks to the digital display, precise setting of the shaft rotation speed is possible.
The machine is designed for machining steel and non-ferrous metals. The maximum machining diameter over the bed is 180 mm, while the maximum distance between centers is 300 mm. The maximum machining diameter over the carriage is 110 mm.
The machine features automatic longitudinal feeds that allow for automatic turning; there are two in total, 0.1 mm per spindle revolution and 0.2 mm per spindle revolution. The feeds are adjustable using a feed dial, and we also provide a dial for cutting threads. In total, the machine can cut 11 metric and 8 inch threads; thread cutting is engaged using a handle on the carriage by tightening the lead screw nut on the shaft, and the automatic feed is also activated.
The chuck is protected by a transparent safety screen, which disconnects the power supply to the motor when lifted.
An emergency stop button is also located in an easily accessible place. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a protective rear guard and a chip collection pan, which prevents chips from getting onto the guides.
The machine is designed for small-batch work and is an excellent choice for people who enjoy hands-on work at home, in the garage, or on a homestead.
