A special spiral spring compensates for the tension on the starter cord, allowing the saw to start quickly and smoothly. The gas chainsaw chain features square-profile teeth that cut faster, hold their edge better, and have special lubrication channels. Fuel is pumped into the carburetor by a primer bulb, making it easier to start the engine even in low temperatures. The increased surface area of the paper filter provides better protection for the engine against dust and dirt. The filter is replaceable, but it lasts longer than a nylon one.
